“It’s the end of the world, baby!” is latest edition (2012) of the powerful and iconic Campari calendar. Inspired by the Mayan prediction that the world will end on 21 December 2012, the Italian drink company’s calendar features a series of photos where stunning Milla Jovovich is portrayed in many different ways of “end of the world” scenes. The striking images were shot by fashion and advertising French photographer Dimitri Daniloff.
Milla is wearing haute couture garments and jewelry by the Swarovski, Messika, Yann Weber, Stéphane Rolland and Paco Rabanne just to mention a few. Always accompanied by a bottle or a glass of Campari, the actress shows some attitude as she poses in couture clothes in a series that goes from desertification to hurricanes, meteorite showers and an alien invasion. “It is our mission as an aperitif to offer Campari lovers an intense, positive moment during this time, to celebrate whatever may happen and make a toast to life,” said Campari chief executive Bob Kunze-Concewitz. Each year, the company issues only 9,999 copies of the edition and distributes them exclusively to friends of Campari internationally.
