Ménage à trois: Man, Moon & Star!

Private Moon + Visit of the Star
Russian artists Boris Bendikov and Leonid Tishkov in an awesome collaboration to create those amazing photographs. The following selection is a mix of two different shoots, “Private Moon” and “Visit of the Star” (no need to explain which is which). They have created a fantastic illuminated world with those symbols of faith. Inspired by the moonlight where they tried to convey relations between the man, the moon and the stars.

This is a romantic story about a man who met the Moon and decided to stay with it forever. Those are beautiful images and the idea of a personal moon is one that I find very, very intriguing. Great series, at first I thought it was an actual image of the moon. Sadly, they are not available fo sale but they sure are pretty, and very surreal.
Enjoy and let it shine.

The stars, the moon,
They have all been blown out,
You left me in the dark,

No dawn, no day,
I’m always in this twilight,
In the shadow of your heart,

And in the dark,
I can hear your heartbeat, I try to find the sound,
But then it stopped,
And I was in the darkness,
So darkness I became!

Wish someone could tell me this:

George Bailey: What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That’s a pretty good idea. I’ll give you the moon, Mary.
Mary: I’ll take it. Then what?
George Bailey: Well, then you can swallow it, and it’ll all dissolve, see… and the moonbeams would shoot out of your fingers and your toes and the ends of your hair… am I talking too much?
