I know we usually post editorials with many pictures but this particular one got my attention because it was not just about appreciating fashion over decades, it’s about their concept over the years! The forties, sixties, eighties and 2011 are very well represented by the designers pieces. Looking at this work I was asking myself how fast fashion and trends will change from now on? Is it going to be a way faster than before, than now? Are designers going to keep their designs more true to their references or more crazy? Is conceptual fashion becoming commercial? Costume designs are becoming cocktail dresses? What is “crossing the line”?…
Well, all those questions can sound stupid to some people or maybe kinda weird to others, but all I know is that fashion (
my fav type of art) is so intriguing, interesting, insane, nostalgic, mutant, transforming, outrageous, minimal over and over the decades… and it will always make a statement!
