It´s very impressive the way Netherlands born photographer Marcel van der Vlugt shows beauty in his photos. Some images are quite disturbing, but undeniably, beautiful. Revealing a side not often seen in glamour, let alone international magazine editorials and covers, Marcel does things like plop cheese and salmon on the faces of gorgeous models, or completely cover them in mummy-like bandages, crossing the line between fine art and commercial shots.
Marcel has accomplished pretty much everything a photographer can hope to, such as shooting ad campaigns for brands from American Express to W Hotels; to exhibiting his work worldwide—from the Photo Museum at The Hague to the Louis Vuitton Gallery in Tokyo—not to mention he had been awarded the ADCN Lamp for Best Photography and a Gold Lion.
