For this work, artist Marc Fichou had the intention to create a piece where the image cannot be separated from its referent, thus creating a visual link between past and present. This concept naturally led him towards origami because of the reversible character of its folding process: each can be unfolded back to its creases.
In his series, the sheet of paper contains both the photographic and the material memories of its past origami form. Origami and paper are one and the same thing at two different times, in two different spaces and in two different shapes.
The safe way to double your money is to fold it over as an origami and put it in your pocket.

This hurt my head. I LOVE things that hurt my head. They are hard to find these days. THANK YOU!
This is the most ingenious way of creating and presenting origami art, that I have ever seen. The contrast of past and present isn’t so much a contrast after all and the maticulous detail and effort put into each origami piece further demands respect from their audience. Marc Fichou is a talented person and this is another good post you have written.
Hi Chicquero, I got so hooked on your blogposts that I have decided to reblog this Origami blogpost. =) I hope it’s ok. don’t worry, you’re still the original. thank you!
Reblogged this on I'm Full but still Hungry for LIFE and commented:
I became fond of Japanese Origami since my mom is teaching at Manila Japanese School, and as I saw this blog by Chicquero, I just wanted to reblog this post badly. =) Happy Art!
