Marta Altés (Barcelona, 1982), studied graphic design in Barcelona and after working there as a graphic designer for almost five years, Altés decided to pursue her interest for illustration. The artist moved to England and joined the MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art.
Such a simple idea, but illustrator Marta Altes has made it into an artsy series of work, pencil shavings at its finest.
“The average pencil is seven inches long, with just a half-inch eraser – in case you thought optimism was dead.” Robert Brault
