A dream above the clouds

03/06/2012 by chicquero

NYC based photographer Ryan Yoon (we love his work) has a great eye for delicacy and model Lisanne de Jong played her role beautifully. Ryan used a huge file of cotton to create this kinda bright, angelical, magical feeling while Lisanne seems to keep a lovely secret with her head in the clouds! Effortless! “To make this dream happen, we need to place our heads in the clouds.”  >>>YOU MAY ALSO LIKE<<< Ryan Yoon para Virgine Live the life you imagined Royal purple […]

Hollyweird

02/24/2012 by chicquero

Hollyweird Greg Kadel. nailed this amazing and “weird” editorial for Numéro #131. Sigrid Agren does a little costume play and looks nothing but gorgeous. Garbed in large headdresses and spring looks from the likes of Givenchy, Roberto Cavalli, Calvin Klein and Rick Owens styled by Patti Wilson; Sigrid hits the streets of Hollywood with a masked companion. Flaw free hair and makeup by Franco Gobbi and Mariel Barrera complement the blonde’s strange ensembles. Set design by Peter Klein. ” In Hollywood, […]

She’s so not in the back of the bus.

02/09/2012 by chicquero

Photographer Lior Nordman shot a very provocative and controversial editorial for Israeli fashion magazine Belle Mode. The spread was a way to protest against the infringement on the rights of women on religious grounds In Israel (some areas) women are forced to seat in the back of the bus to create separation between men and women, in some circles they are not allowed to speak publicly and sing. “This particular editorial is talking about a very hot topic in the […]

Not a cliché made in China

01/23/2012 by chicquero

Today we are totally inspired by the Chinese Lunar New Year (specially because it’s the year of the dragon)! For this reason we were hunting for more cool stuff literally “made in China” and we found out about Chen Man. She is one of the most  recognized contemporary photographers of China. Born in Beijing, in her early 20′s (such a baby with a huge talent!),  she became quickly a famous artist, practicing her art into fashion photography, for editorial works […]

World peace…

01/07/2012 by chicquero

Miss World   Tony Kelly is a Dublin born photographer with world class experience. This is not the first time we post his work but this time I found out a little more about him. It´s interesting that  his career started at Independent Newspaper Group and spent his formative years covering tons of people and places that many of us never want to see (nothing less than the civil war in Rwanda and the war in Afghanistan). After eight years of covering conflicts, tragedies Tony decided to move […]

Ladylike and the other way around.

12/28/2011 by chicquero

Always a Lady   Meghan Collison ( she´s the new face of Prada) poses in very classy and cool ladylike looks for the January edition of Vogue Russia. In front of Ben Toms’s lens in a kinda domestic setting, Meghan sports a wardrobe of elegant looks and lingerie inspired pieces from the likes of Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana and Jean Paul Gaultier, impecably styled by Katie Shillingford (kudos). Lately, I’ve seen so many stunning fashion editorials in the company of amazing little or giant, irrational or rational animals and you know what?… They are very photogenic! It’s so gorgeous and inspiring that I had to put a nice selection of images together for you guys to think about and realize what I’m saying. Captured by Richard Bush, Abbey Lee Kershaw uses her larger than life features to her advantage in this surreal shoot for i-D Magazine Fall issue. Sarah Richardson did the styling with some very apt designer wear from the likes of Burberry Prorsum, Prada, Alberta Ferretti and Yves Saint Laurent among others. The editorial is all about dreams and aspirations and portrays Miss Kershaw as a little dressed-up doll, also captures the essence of what girls dream of becoming when they grow up… I […]

Photographer David Burton did a phenomenal job capturing Elyse Saunders in this wet and super fun shoot for Elle Magazine Italia April 2011. Love the fact that the styling went from boots to pumps, multiple jackets, various shapes of umbrellas without losing the wicked and colorful style! Creative Italian fashion photographer Giampaolo Sgura and stylist Miguel Arnau pay a cool and very comic tribute to boys who have “a thing” for high heels and some other feminine accessories with their editorial “Cendrillon” . Shot for the Shoe  issue of Antidote Magazine Fall / Winter 2011-12, the story features models Malthe Lund Madsen, Alexandre Cunha, Diego Fragoso, Adrian Cardoso, Sebastian Sauvé and Gil Soares from Fashion Model Management. One of our fav photographers of all time Miles Aldridge explores the theme of “artist and model” for his photobook. Love the fact that Kristen McMenamy is “the star”, she’s so unique and intriguing and also happens to be Aldridge’s wife. The book is a collaboration with painter Chantal Joffe, featuring watercolor and oil paintings, as well as ink . A must have for all photography, fashion and art lovers. 11/03/2011 by chicquero

The May 2010 issue of Interview Magazine features amazing model Daria Werbowy as the life of the party with the steamy, Let’s Get Lost, by Mikael Jansson. Unfortunately, it is the editorial’s core cast of talented models such as Sedene Blake, Ajak Deng, Salieu Jalloh and Oraine Barrett that get lost in the quite decadent underground scene. This is an editorial for Madame Magazine called “Paper Dresses” and it really is all made of paper. Yulia Gorbachenko is a New York fashion and beauty photographer that really  delivers. In this fashion series, she mixes sensuality, beauty, amazing colours, terrific lighting, a quite cool sense of fashion and transforms in very extravagant fashion imagery. Magnificent! “Through the use of color and movement, the work evokes a sense of nouveau baroque aesthetic. Influenced by the physical and our human desire for experimentation”.   “Inspiration and genius – one and the same”. Victor Hugo
