Spotted subway stations

12/11/2012 by chicquero

Subway architecture is definitely something really cool… tourists all over the world enjoy riding the local subway, checking its stations and architecture. It´s a great variety of shapes, textures, colors, angles and styles. These are some pretty awesome shots of some of the most beautiful subway stations around the world photographed by some truly talented people. Fun! If I ever have to stop taking the subway, I’m gonna have a heart attack. Edward Norton you may also like A minimal […]

Past present paper origamis

09/12/2012 by chicquero

For this work, artist Marc Fichou had the intention to create a piece where the image cannot be separated from its referent, thus creating a visual link between past and present. This concept naturally led him towards origami because of the reversible character of its folding process: each can be unfolded back to its creases. In his series, the sheet of paper contains both the photographic and the material memories of its past origami form. Origami and paper are one […]

Topographic Projections and Implied Geometries Series Artist Jim Sanborn was born in Washington, DC on November 14, 1945. He graduated from Randolph-Macon College in 1969 with a double major in art history and sociology. He received his Masters degree in sculpture from Pratt Institute in 1971. Every single angle can be art.

12/29/2011 by chicquero

Mr. Philipp Klinger This is a collection created by Philipp Klinger (he’s nothing but a genius photographer) that showcases architecture in a very geometric way, mixing shapes, patterns, textures. Mr. Klinger travels the world seeking great angles and different kinds of inspiration. He’s not all about geometry, this is just a side of his work, he’s also totally into nature and the city. It’s quite impressive. Love the lines, swirls, angles, the chosen spots, his prospective when shooting… eye candy! […]

Seriously, it’s just a matter of taste.

11/09/2011 by chicquero

Some people say that the best photographers are graphic designers first cause they’re aware of color, forms and negative space. Well, who am I to disagree? Italian photographer Fulvio Bonavia really impresses us with his surprising work made with edible elements. Bonavia merges the natural with the manufactured in his work, his last book “Matter of Taste” is really delightful. Love the fact that still life meets high fashion meets ingeniously creative… so clever! “Love of beauty is taste. The creation […]

Edgy weirdo? Awkward metamorphosis?

10/10/2011 by chicquero

No… (maybe yes)! Photographer Ausra Osipaviciute and stylist Milda Cegelyte, both London based professionals, teamed up and created this amazing series named Fantplastique.  It´s such an innovative concept, kinda creepy with its own beauty… love the shapes, the “black”, the edginess, the weirdness,  the avant garde elements all mixed up. Very clever idea, can´t get enough!
